Simple Chili Mac

Serves 4 | 

Simple, highly flavorful and quick to prepare.



Ingredients:

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
8 oz elbow macaroni
1 can tomato sauce, 16 oz.
1 cup water
1 can kidney beans, undrained, 16 oz.
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions:

  1. Pour vegetable oil into a large skillet and bring to medium-high heat. Once hot, add ground beef and onion, cook until meat is browned.
  2. Reduce heat to medium, add tomato sauce, water, macaroni, chili powder and sprinkle with salt. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese over top, cover and continue to cook until cheese is melted.
